When they were working on this script i bet some guy said, “The only way that a guy would possibly watch or read the book pride and prejudice is if they put zombies in it.”
Well…
Believe it or not…
They did.
They put zombies into the movie.
This is what i would call a fine tale befitting a tale with zombies. You know those prissy old Victorian stories that have a whole lot of sexism, hidden racism and a sheer hatred for the unknown?  Yup this is not one those stories
The story is about a family that has five daughters who are meant to find husbands for them because back then women were “too dumb” to own property so marriage was not exactly an option, it was a way out. I can hear you roll your eyes and i am with you on that one.
In addition to having Matt Smith play a very very very girly male character. Destroying his image as the famous Dr. Who who is the star of the named series. We Whovians (Dr. Who fans)  choose to ignore that role that he played but Matt Smith obviously did slay that role with ease.

The Girls are the perfect portrayal of women who are strong and feminine, plus they can kick ass. Trained in martial arts, the girls struggle to find themselves and husbands in the Victorian age which is plagued by zombies. Seems a bit far fetched right? Somehow they make it work. Good make up, really pretty lead characters, a little sexism that wants you to just fight it and choreographed fight scenes.
It is a tale of tales and good way to kill time.
IMDb rating of is 5.9 while Metacritic gave it a 49% and rotten tomatoes gave it a 42%. I won’t really argue with the figures but this is one of those movies, whether you watch it or not, it doesn’t really make a difference in your life.
