Review: Jungle Book

Director: Jon Favreau
Actor: Neel Sethi, Idris Elba,  Lupita Nyong’o,  Scarlett Johansson,  Ben Kingsley,  Bill Mirray

You cannot think of jungle book and not think of the song “look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities there is no need to worry about a thing.” I would have been so pissed if they didn’t sing that song.
I would watch any Jon Favreau film any day any time, the kid Neel Sethi has done a good job acting as Mowgli. The CGI blends almost seamlessly around Mowgli. Although i might have an issue with the Indian kid with an American accent and an american view of life comes to life in this Indian setting.
The voice casting was of course made of very talented actors with the likes of Edris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o and Scarlett Johansson whose presence only makes Jungle Book come to life, and am not being sarcastic this time. The fights are surprisingly good for a cartoon of this rating,. showing how strong and violent animals can be. It was a child’s movie made for an adult audience.
