Review: London has fallen

Director: Babak Najafi

Written by Creighton Rothenberger

Actors: Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett.

I had my reservations about the movie because you know London has fallen has the basic white house down story line. The president of the united states is in trouble and his super body guard usually the Channing Tatum or in this case Gerard Butler swoops in guns blazing to whisk the president out like a princess.

They did typical American things in the movie. Like killing all the radicalized Muslims, killing the only black woman in the movie and obviously showing that the entire British security can be infiltrated and overrun by ‘the enemy’ but can all be held back and destroyed by one determined American body guard.

I’ll be honest i couldn’t watch the movie with a straight face gagging has almost become a reflex action when it comes to such films.

A soon to be father played by Gerard Butler is the head of the Presidents security played by Aaron Eckhart. After the sudden death of the British prime minister they Secretly plan to attend the state funeral in London despite many security alarms. Shortly after arriving, the head of states from several powerful countries are assassinated in a rather dramatic manner. Explosions, explosions and obviously more explosions fill the movie as they bring the famous sites are torn down.

This whole movie is based on a revenge plot by Aamir Barkawi Played by Alon Aboutboul after the USA attempted to assassinate him and failed but ended up killing his daughter on her wedding day. As they said in the movie, “revenge must be swift and absolute.” oh they made it absolute alright. The film turns London into a war zone in attempts to try and kill the American president who obviously won’t be killed by Hollywood unless they have an American to take his place.

The only good thing i have to say about this movie is about the street gun fights which are so well choreographed it looks similar to Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell game play . Which reminds me my friend has a Video game blog which you might want to check out if you’re into video games.
IMDb rating is 5.9 which is honestly just confirming that this movie is not worth the watch, you can bgo on living life and knowing that London has fallen is probably one of the most insignificant movies that you will ever not watch with which you should and will have no regrets.
